Steelworxx – First Impressions

Well, I arrived home from work and it wasn’t thirty minutes before NW had me in the new Steelworxx Crossfire.  I chose the Crossfire because I preferred the semi open end, for urination reasons.  The idea of urine welling up inside of a closed tube, because I wasn’t perfectly aligned with a tiny hole, is kind of a turn off.

In any case…  The product appears to be very well crafted.  All of the outer surfaces are polished.  The edges have been smoothed.  It feels sturdy…and much heavier than the acrylic, of course.  I have not noticed any spurs or burrs.  The ring is nice and smooth.  Much more comfortable that the CB ring.  All in all, potential Base ring size issue aside, I am very pleased with it.

We went with the largest tube (44mm), due to my girth.  If I am completely flaccid, I have the slightest bit of side wiggle room.  If I am even slightly erect, or simple really warm and, hence, not drawn up, my cock touched the tube on all sides.  It is comfortable, though, and I have room for slight expansion.  Though, I couldn’t get close to fully erect.

The potential issue is the base (A) ring.  We ordered the 47mm, since I had heard that these stainless rings seem to fit a little looser.  When I first put it on, I, of course, swelled a little bit.  That little swelling was enough to inhibit blood flow enough to start the purplish color change.  Since my cock, when rock hard, is 1.95″ in diameter, and the ring is only 1.85″, a full on erection pretty much crushes everything, cuts off blood and is rather painful.  I might should have gone with the 50mm ring, but we will determine that later.

For tonight, I will not sleep in it.  The main reason is that it is more important to us that I be able to wear it at work, than during sleep.  Since I spend 95% of my work time sitting on my ass, that is where I have had the biggest issues with the CB.  The pants pressing the ring into my body, and the cage into my balls, made it impossible to wear for more than an hour or so.  So that we have a clean test for work, tomorrow, we won’t risk irritating the area by me sleeping in it.

My biggest concern with the ring size was the ability to escape that the 50mm might provide.  The spacing between the tube and the base ring is small enough, though, that there is no way I am squeezing my balls out of this.  A 50mm ring would have done just fine.  But, for time sake, we are going to give the 47mm a try and order a 50mm in the future.

Just a couple of pics of me in my new home…

  1. Sturdy it is! And, surprisingly, I didn’t even notice the weight, for the 5 1/2 hours that I was in it, yesterday. I am about to go in it for the work day, though. That will be the telling part.
As for fitting into it…one part at a time…lol. My testicles, like most guys, I guess, are not exactly symetrical. I have to squeeze my right one through, as it fills the ring. The left is easier (and the one that likes to escape), Getting my shaft, even flaccid, through, is a chore. I have to push the head down into the skin of the shaft (yes, I am circ’d) and THEN work it through. It can take 30 seconds to a minute to achieve this.
As long as I do not start swelling, the color stays at an acceptable shade.
I think the 50mm ring is a given, at some point. Hopefully this will work for most of it, though.

That sounds about right to me.

      • After much effort, we have come to the conclusion that the 47mm ring won’t work. I can wear it, comfortably, when in loose shorts, no undies and on my feet a lot. In work pants, sitting, it is constant discomfort. I think we are going to have a custom 51mm or 52mm made. The reason is…when I have been my hardest, we measured my circumference at, or a hair above, 6 1/8″. If I convert that to a diameter, it comes to 1.95″. That converts to 49.53mm I am not sure that 50mm will (with.47mm to spare) accommodate the remainder of the flesh and vessels having to fit in there. I know that the 2″ ring, on the CB, hurt like hell, when I got fully erect. And that is 50.8mm. So, I am really thinking about 52mm, so I can, hopefully, sleep in it.
